Look to the horizon for your future

If you look to the horizon you will see hints of what is to come. It is already here, you just need to be able to find it and then have the awareness to know what you are seeing in front of you.

If you are feeling lost you need to find your feet again and start walking. Lack of direction can be solved by taking a few steps in any direction and then feeling out the right way. With a little bit of movement you are on your way to building your momentum again. People who change the world have found their balance between skill and challenge, while moving at a pace they can sustain. If you stand still, nothing will ever happen.

You will feel sure of yourself when you are connected to yourself, connected to those around you and making things happen to move the planet forward. You can't be free to discover new things until you let go of some of the constraints that are holding you back. When you get stuck it is usually because you are holding yourself back, or holding onto something that isn't moving in the same direction as you are.

Fulfilling your life purpose on the planet isn't usually the first thing on your todo list - but that is really all we are here to do. To find this you need to start with the most obvious things that are right in front of you, then zoom out.

  • What most has your attention?
  • Why does it have your attention?
  • Why is that important?
  • What do you want to do about it?
  • Where will you put it so that you remember?

Running through this process should help you identify where you are stuck, and once you know where you are stuck you can figure out the small changes and habits that will help you adjust your course in life.

Often you will find there is something that is taking a lot of your time and energy but isn't delivering enough to your momentum. There are unnecessary constraints that do hold us back, and once you identify these you can disconnect them. If your reason for doing something isn't aligned with the rest of your "why's" then it is probably time for you to make a change.

An important caveat to disconnecting from these things is in integrity. Integrity is the vital strong close connections that you have - maybe to friends and family, health and fitness, your values in life, etc. These are important and you should be careful not to cut these off in an irresponsible fashion. If you cut away at your strongest connections you will often end up feeling even more lost than you were before.

We draw our own lines at the edge of our awareness and these lines hold us back. The less constraints you have the more agile you can be, and this refresh is all about clearing away the non-essentials so that you can gain focus and clarity on what matters.

If you are feeling lost, then take a look at your calendar - there is usually something significant on the horizon.
